IHBC South East (SE) Branch will host its Day school – on Policy into Practice – and AGM Event (including discussion on governance with IHBC’s Chair and President) on Friday 1 March, in the Surrey History Centre in Woking from 9.30 on.

IHBC South-East Branch invites you to attend a day of talks with speakers from Historic England, Woking Borough Council and the Heritage Trust Network providing an update to planning policy developments, including the NPPF, and a roundup of local projects, followed by an introduction to the IHBC Annual School (to be hosted by the Branch in 2020) and the SE Branch AGM. There will be a short introduction to the work of the History Centre followed a buffet lunch. In the afternoon delegates will have the opportunity to visit the Muslim Burial Ground and also the Grade I Listed Shah Jahan Mosque in Woking; the oldest purpose built mosque in Britain.
