Help Historic Environment Scotland (HES) write the next chapter in its story. Today (Fri 31 Aug 2018) we launched the consultation on our draft Corporate Plan 2019-.

Alison Turnbull Director of Development and Partnership at HS writes:

We have launched the HES Corporate Plan for consultation… This will be open for a 9 week consultation ending on 2 November.

The draft Corporate Plan sets an ambitious direction for the organisation which is emerging from an approach characterised by focusing on user needs and listening and understanding what matters to the people through regular engagement. The themes and actions developed from this engagement have allowed us to draft a high-level strategic vision for the organisation that also aligns with the focus of the Scottish Government’s National Performance Framework.  This vision set out in the draft Plan is supported by 5 new cross-cutting outcomes, which allows the Corporate Plan to become more ambitious and more future focussed, looking beyond the initial Plan period. Our consultation activity will focus on these outcomes and their delivery, as we really want to test how they will work in practice.

You can find out more about the process we used to develop the draft from the following blog and film: https://blog.historicenvironment.scot/2018/06/learn-past-inspire-future-service-design-matters/

As part of this, we will be holding a range of events.  It would be useful to read the draft and supporting material in advance.  These events will provide a platform to discuss the initial draft of our new three-year Corporate Plan.  The dates to consider are either:

  • Tuesday 11thSeptember 2018, 9.45-12pm – Argyll’s Lodgings, Stirling – RSVP for Monday 3rd September

Or

  • Tuesday 23rdOctober 2018, 9.45-12pm – National Mining Museum, Newtongrange – RSVP for Monday 1st October

Thank you to everyone who has already confirmed their attendance.  If you would like to attend one of our events RSVP to corporateplan@hes.scot,.
