CIBSE (Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers) has launched a call for entries to its 2011 awards, entry deadline 8 October.
The awards reward excellence in the development and management of low carbon buildings, and take into consideration a variety of characteristics, all of which impact on the performance of a building. They aim to recognise the contribution that engineers, contractors, facilities and energy managers play in creating a sustainable built environment, and to raise the profile of the construction and engineering industry. They will demonstrate the value that building services engineers have on the development and operation of buildings. This year’s categories have been designed to incorporate each stage in the development of a building. Entries will be promoted throughout the industry as the best performing buildings.
The awards will be presented on Wednesday 9th February 2011 at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel. The evening will celebrate the achievements of the industry, and will aim to attract representatives from the initial design team through to those operating the buildings.
