Nominations open for 2018 World Monuments Watch, closes 1 March

The World Monuments Fund is now accepting nominations for the 2018 World Monuments Watch (closing date 1 March 2017).

Every two years since 1996, the World Monuments Watch has called international attention to cultural heritage sites that are at risk from the forces of nature or the impact of social, political and economic change.

Selected sites will be on the World Monuments Watch for a two-year period, beginning with the public announcement of the 2018 cycle in October 2017.

The Watch seeks to promote heritage stewardship through advocacy and outreach, community engagement, and project collaboration and support. It has allocated more than $100 million to projects at World Monuments Watch sites since it started, and has included 790 sites in 135 countries and territories around the world.
