The High Court has ruled in favour of East Bergholt Parish Council, finding that Babergh District Council’s (DC) decision to allow ten homes to be built in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) was flawed as it did not take account of the village’s needs – as set out in the Suffolk planning authority’s own local plan – and so quashed permission for the development.
