The IHBC’s celebrated Gus Astley Student Award programme for 2014 has closed with 39 entries received, but that’s only the start as the institute details plans for their assessment and prepares for the launch of the 2015 Award and its £500 cash prize, while also kick-starting arrangements for the 2nd Course Connection Day, where student representatives on courses are invited to a free day of conservation conversation and interrogation, hosted by the IHBC and taking place in Birmingham in November.
The 2014 award details will also feature in the forthcoming September issue of our member journal, Context, where the 2014 judge, architectural historian and author Jeremy Musson, offers his thoughts on the submissions and the award presentations at the Annual School in Edinburgh last June.
To find out more about the Conservation Course Connection Day interested students should ask course tutors in September.
