Welsh Historic Gardens Trust launches Small Grants Scheme

The Welsh Historic Gardens Trust (WHGT) has launched a Small Grants Scheme to mark the 25th anniversary of the founding of the Trust in 1989.

The Trust’s aim is to raise a minimum of £25,000 to mark its quarter-centenary, and to use the funding for small projects which fall into the categories of garden works, ornamental works, surveys, planning and public enjoyment. The application for a small grant should be submitted by Tuesday 30th September 2014.

Applications will be notified of grant decisions by Monday 1st December 2014. The maximum amount for a grant in 2014 and 2015 will be £500.

The WHGT is a national organisation campaigning to save historic gardens and parks from neglect, indifference, insensitive planning and planting for future generations.
