Simon Ridley, previously the Director of Local Government Finance at the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) has taken up the post of Chief Executive of the Planning Inspectorate.
Prior to joining DCLG, Ridley worked for 13 years at HM Treasury. He held a variety of roles there, predominantly focused on public spending and economic reform.
