A series of national events take place in July to celebrate archaeology, and many regional and local events are also take place relating to many aspects of conservation including architecture, archaeology and heritage in the next few months.
Following June’s London Festival of Architecture members may be interested to know that this July is home to the UK festival of archaeology and Glasgow Building Preservation Trust is organising a special ‘wee Doors Open Day’ to tie in with the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games and the Festival 2014 Commonwealth cultural programme. Richmond Council is hosting a series of events to tie in with the Tercentenary of the Hanoverian accession to the Throne of Great Britain, UK National Parks week is at the end of July and we can also all look forward to various European Heritage Days near us (with Heritage Open Days celebrating their 20th anniversary this year).
