The history and architecture of nonconformist chapels in Wales is being digitally documented by The Royal Commission and Addoldai Cymru, together with a series of associated events being held to celebrate their history.
The funding for the project includes the following activities:
- laser scanning
- gigapixel photography
- computer visualisation.
- interpretative analysis
- GIS mapping
- working with the community to hold survey training days
- events and lectures
- open doors events, and tours of the chapels

The Royal Commision and Addoldai Cymru (The Welsh Religious Buildings Trust) have recently been granted over £60,000 for the development of a virtual museum recounting the story of over 300 years of Nonconformity in Wales.
