The materials from the recent EH conference on Social Media and the Historic Environment have been made available as a ‘Storify’ compiling the news from the event.
The event was held in Oxford on 20th February 2014, organised by English Heritage (EH) and designed to promote discussion on how best to use social media to discuss historic environment issues and engage with different audiences. Storify is an online tool to help people capture conversations around a subject, event or discussion.
Topics covered at the conference included:
• using social media to discuss projects, with the case study of Distinctly Black Country
• community media engagement and archaeology in Worcester
• using social media networks such as Ning to link heritage, places and people in Bristol
• how to determine the impact of your social media
