HS invites applications for TCG Training Grant

The Technical Conservation Group operates a grant scheme to raise technical standards in the conservation, repair and maintenance of traditional buildings in Scotland. The focus is on supporting those involved in evaluating, specifying and undertaking works to building fabric to extend their knowledge and skills base. The grant scheme will cover attendance at short training courses and work placement (national and international) for those already in employment. The scheme does not cover purchase of plant or equipment, or support for full time study at college or university. Applicants should read the accompanying background document, which outlines the grant conditions in more detail, and complete the attached form. Information on the event or host company should be enclosed if applicable.

Please note that the process is a competitive one. Grants are awarded from quarterly budget allocations so early applications are recommended to avoid disappointment. Please note, bodies or individuals in receipt of other HS funding may not be eligible for a Technical Conservation Group Training Grant.

Application forms should be sent either by               or by post to Historic Scotland, Technical Conservation Group, Room G.33 Longmore House, Salisbury Place, Edinburgh, EH9 1SH

If you have any queries, please contact Bernadette Shevlin at the above email address or by phone on 0131 668 8683.
