The UK Contractor Group’s ‘Open Doors’ Weekend representing the spirit of unveiling the innovative and dynamic side to the UK construction industry, is scheduled for Friday 27 and Satrday 28 September.

Following the success of the 2012 weekend, UKCG, CITB, the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) and the Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS) are offering people the exclusive opportunity to go behind the scenes of some of the UK’s most exciting, dynamic and modern construction sites on 27th and 28th September 2013.
With UK sites set to be announced at the end of May primary and secondary school children, young adults, parents and anyone thinking of moving into the construction industry, can explore the diverse world of modern construction and meet the inspiring men and women who make it all happen.
CITB, UKCG, CIOB and CCS work in conjunction to offer opportunities for young people and the public to have a ‘behind the scenes’ look at major construction projects across the country.
The weekend will include tours, live Q&A sessions and careers advice from the project teams explaining what happens on construction sites and the range of roles available in UK construction.
