New APPG for EBE inquiry has begun

The All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for Excellence in the Built Environment (EBE) has begun taking evidence for its far-reaching Inquiry into Sustainable Construction and the Green Deal with the aim of determining best practice, challenges and barriers to sustainability in the built environment.

Experts will present their evidence to the APPG for EBE Commission of Inquiry made up of members of both Houses of Parliament and senior members of the construction professions. The Commission will be chaired by Oliver Colvile MP. Other members are: Peter Aldous MP, John Alker, Sir John Armitt CBE, Patrick Bellew, Peter Bonfield OBE, The Earl of Lytton (Vice Chair), Jack Pringle, Rt. Hon. Nick Raynsford MP (Vice Chair), Andrew Stunell MP, Lord Teverson and Lord Whitty.

At the first session, on 15 of April, evidence was given by UK Green Building Council, Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and NEES (Natural Energy Efficient Sustainable) and The Alliance for Sustainable Building Products.
