The Construction Industry Council (CIC) is co-ordinating an application in the UKCES EOS Pilot and is seeking further employer partners.
CIC writes:
The Construction Industry Council is co-ordinating a funding application in round 2 of the UKCES Employer Ownerships of Skills Pilot and we are seeking further employer partners to work with.
This fund provides an excellent opportunity for employers to lead skills development for their sector and respective companies, by co-investing with government in future skills provision.
The CIC coordinated application will represent multiple employers and will be built upon the following principles:
· A whole ‘built environment’ collaborative sector approach, supported by CIC member Professional Institutions.
· An end-to-end responsibility for the built environment.
· An Integrated approach
The aims of the scheme fall into three areas the detail of each area; will be refined over the coming weeks with engaged employers.
· Attract talent (at every age, level and ability) into the industry
· Enhance those in the industry by upskilling in view of the current and future challenges employers and the industry face
· Excel the sector with a view to drive enterprise and economic growth both here and overseas
In our unique position as the membership body for the built environment representing 500,000 individuals and 150,000 companies from large to SME, we are looking to utilise this position and the experience in our membership to the advantage of all our collaborative partners.
CIC will coordinate bid activity, project manage the application and delivery (including some of the training aspects) and be accountable for funding.
We wish to receive expressions of interest from employers of all shapes and sizes who have a responsibility for contributing to the built environment.
If this opportunity is of interest to you and your organisation, please complete the Expression of Interest form or contact Danna Walker, Projects Coordinator on 020 7399 7404, dwalker@cic.org.uk, by no later than Friday 22nd February.
