BBC documentary: planners!

According to Planning Magazine, BBC is to launch its documentary The Planners, next week, with episode 1 looking at proposals by three house builders to build on a greenfield site as they meet opposition from locals.

BBC notes that interested viewers ‘might also like’ to watch features on ‘Tankies: Tank Heroes of WWII’ & ‘Queen Victoria’s children’.

RTPI writes:
The 8 episode series is to start on Thursday 31st January, and focus on planners working in planning departments across the UK. The series was commissioned in June last year and shot over a six month period.

Liam Keelan, Controller of BBC Daytime, said: ‘The Planners is a subject area that everyone has an interest in, particularly in these straitened times. Whether you’re doing it yourself or experiencing it on your own doorstep, I’m sure this series will be prove very popular with the BBC Two audience.’
