The World Monument Fund is inviting nominations for the 2014 World Monuments watch, due by March 2013.
This biennial programme is the WMF’s primary advocacy vehicle, attracting much-needed publicity and funding to globally-significant sites and monuments. Since its inception, the Watch has incorporated 686 sites in 132 countries around the world.
Anyone can nominate a site to be considered for the Watch, from private individuals and representatives of government agencies to educational institutions and not-for-profits.
Sites are evaluated on the basis of global significance, the urgency of the conditions and the viability of any plan of action in place.
