A Cork man has found a very unusual way to celebrate the city – by recreating its buildings in miniature, right down to the tiniest details, reports Cork Beo, as Seán, who has been making models as a hobby for years, has turned his attention to the buildings around him.
Cork Beo writes:
Known online as Tiny Cork, Seán recreates recognisable Cork buildings as tiny models using materials including plastic, foam, paper and cardboard…. he said…’…now that I live in the middle of Cork City, it just sort of happened that I ended up looking around and seeing so many nice buildings that I was like, ‘I wonder if I could give this a go?’

… ‘I take an enormous amount of photos,’ he said. ‘My phone is absolutely filled with a ridiculous level of detail of photos of individual bricks and the shapes of gutters and just nonsense, things like that.’
