NT, NHTG & partners: ‘Displaced Apprenticeship’ scheme gets HLF’s £760k

The Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) has awarded £760,000 to a partnership between English Heritage (EH), the National Trust (NT), Cadw, ConstructionSkills (CSkills) and the National Heritage Training Group (NHTG) to deliver an £800,000 Displaced Apprenticeship scheme throughout England and Wales until 2015.

The programme is aimed at ‘displaced apprentices’ – individuals whose apprenticeship has been terminated part-way through its duration, due to the placement provider going out of business. With the aid of a Heritage Lottery Grant, it aims to help enthusiastic apprentices, committed to developing their skills, complete their apprenticeship and achieve a vocational qualification.
