UK start ups and SMEs in the built environment are to be given the chance to access up to £5,000 to innovate and develop under a Technology Strategy Board (TSB) scheme.
The Innovation Voucher scheme, due to launch later this month, provides funding for start up, micro, small and medium sized businesses specifically to work with an external expert. Around 400 vouchers will be issued in the first round of the scheme, with recipients being chosen by a draw from eligible entries. The scheme will continue with 100 vouchers being issued every three months.
The TSB’s national Innovation Voucher scheme enables business to secure help from expert suppliers such as BRE, universities, further education colleges, research and technology organisations, technical consultancies, design advisers and intellectual property advisers. Innovations likely to receive backing could include new or improved produces, processes and services.
Further information will be available on the TSB website when the scheme opens on 24 September.
