A legal bid has been launched to secure protected legal status for a brutalist landmark under threat of being bulldozed, reports The Herald Scotland.
The Herald Scotland writes:
… Experts have applied to have the building which features in the Netflix Dept Q series granted listed status…
The Architectural Heritage Society of Scotland (AHSS)… have raised the bid. Historic Environment Scotland is considering the application… for the 1960s building in Lady Lawson Street which has been described as an ‘eyesore’ but which is also celebrated for its modernist presence.
