The Urban Design Group (UDG) has launched the third round of awards and would like to invite your local authority or public sector agency to submit an entry for the 2013 award, with a deadline for entries of Friday 31 August 2012.
UDG writes:
The Urban Design Group is always keen to give recognition to the important, creative and high quality work being done in urban design by public sector bodies, particularly in these challenging and cash-strapped times.
In 2010 we introduced a new national award for urban design work in the public sector and over the past two years we have been able to highlight the outstanding achievements of many local authorities around the UK…
We are now launching the third round of awards and would like to invite your local authority or public sector agency to submit an entry for the 2013 award.
Submissions can be made across a wide range of areas – from engineering through to planning; landscape design to community involvement – including:

There is no entry fee and, as a further incentive, the Urban Design Group is offering six months’ free individual membership for two employees of any authority/agency submitting an entry; for those who are already members there will be an additional six months added to their existing membership.
The deadline for entries is Friday 31 August 2012
