IHBC’s (Global) ‘Management’ Signpost: ‘Welcome to the Irish Walled Towns Network’

The Irish Walled Towns Network (IWTN) reports that the island of Ireland has 56 ‘proven’ walled towns, 33 of which have joined the IWTN.

The Heritage Council writes:

Founded by the Heritage Council in 2005, the role of the Irish Walled Towns Network (IWTN) is to unite and co-ordinate the strategic efforts of local authorities and community groups involved in the management, conservation and enhancement of historic walled towns in Ireland, both North and South. The island of Ireland has 56 ‘proven’ walled towns, 33 of which have joined the IWTN.
