Herefordshire Council is considering taking legal action after a collapse at a building in Ledbury town centre, writes The Ledbury Reporter.
The Ledbury Reporter writes:
Building Control has written to the owner of an empty shop unit on the High Street over safety concerns…. The council said it has not yet reached a ‘satisfactory conclusion’… now considering a court order, which would require the owner to make the building safe.
A spokesperson for Herefordshire Council said: ‘Our Building Control Team is following the Building Act 1985, section 77 process… The team will now meet with legal services to establish the likelihood of obtaining a court order through the section 77 process, specifically to make the rear of the building safe.’
