New NADFAS award for heritage crafts

The National Association of Decorative & Fine Arts Societies (NADFAS) has announced a new heritage crafts award.

NADFAS writes:
We are delighted to be working in partnership with The Heritage Craft Association (HCA) to support the next generation of skilled crafts people in the UK. A grant of £5,000 has been awarded to support an Apprentice or Trainee in the heritage crafts sector.

Over the years NADFAS has supported many crafts and skilled disciplines that are at risk of dying out. The HCA NADFAS Grant 2012 is a positive step to ensure that these skills are passed on to future generations. The successful applicant will be announced in July 2012.

Our Chief Executive, David Bell said ‘This exciting new link with the HCA greatly enhances our ability to support craftspeople working in the heritage sector.’ To find out more or to apply for this award please visit the opportunities page at: www.heritagecrafts.org.uk
