Introducing our Autumn Technical Webinar Series
We are pleased to highlight the first event in our technical webinar series, hosted in partnership with the STBA, will take place on 12 September at 1pm, and features Kit Knowles, Director of Ecospheric, as he introduces us to a Heritage Retrofit Methodology developed in collaboration with the University of Liverpool School of Architecture to support a comprehensive approach to low energy retrofit for listed and historic buildings. This will be followed by our next webinar on 26 September at 1pm, which will be led by Annual School Shrewsbury 2025 speaker, Nick Blenkarn, and Professor David Heesom, who will provide an overview of 3D Scanning, Heritage BIM and the emerging role of AI for historic and traditional buildings. IHBC National Office and Regional Branch Events
We’re delighted to highlight a series of events taking place over the autumn, starting off with the North West Branch Annual Conference on 18 September, which takes place in Chester and celebrates 50 years since the European Architectural Heritage Year.
For anyone looking to advance to Affiliate status, there will be an online Supporter Surgery on 18 September at 1pm, offering advice and support on the application requirements and process in an informal setting. Simply visit the website for more details and a link to join.
The South East Branch invite you to join them for an in-person training day on Fire Protection and Regulation in Tunbridge Wells on the 19 September [IHBC CPD Branch Partnership], meanwhile the West Midlands Branch will be in Burslem on the 23 September for their event which will explore the Regeneration and Viability of Heritage Assets.
The Yorkshire Branch will be holding their AGM in Bradford on 27 September, which will feature a talk on Placemaking led by Dave Chetwyn, and a walking tour of Little Germany. [IHBC CPD Branch Partnership]
Looking ahead to October, there are a further two opportunities to explore the highly relevant and sometimes challenging topic of Fire Protection and Regulations in the context of historic buildings, as the South Branch host their event Newbury on the 10 October, [IHBC CPD Branch Partnership] followed by the East Anglia Branch AGM 2025 and Training Day in Bury St Edmunds on 22 October….
