University of the Built Environment: UCEM’s new name for merged London School of Architecture (LSA) and University College of Estate Management

UCEM’s new institutional name, following a merger with the London School of Architecture (LSA), has been announced as the University of the Built Environment.

University of the Built Environment writes:

Importantly, as a design-led, values-driven school of architecture, The LSA will retain its unique identity and name. What changes is the strength and scale of the institution supporting it.   The University’s name reflects our shared commitment to the built environment sector and our combined vision for the future. It marks a bold step forward, reinforcing our ambition to become ‘the centre of excellence for built environment education’.  As part of the wider University of the Built Environment, the LSA and its students will benefit from increased collaboration, broader opportunities, and deeper integration within a multidisciplinary framework focused on innovation, sustainability, and real-world impact.
