The IHBC is delighted to welcome as our 2025 Annual Friend of the School representing RICS Jessica Jones MA MSt FRICS IHBC, Vice-Chair (VC) of the RICS Building Conservation Advisory Group.

IHBC Director Sean O’Reilly said: ‘We’re absolutely delighted that Jessica can join us at our 2025 Day School on 13 June.’ 

She’ll have a tough role too: as our invited ‘Friend of the School’ for 2025 we ask her to offer her own informed, personal and professional thoughts on the day’s programme – all as constructive and critical as suits – and help us make sure we’re getting the right balance across our interdisciplinary and multi-disciplinary membership networks.    In her role on the RICS Building Conservation Advisory Group, she’s perfectly placed to do just that!’

Jessica said: ‘I am delighted to be speaking on behalf of RICS at this year’s IHBC school. Together we have a huge opportunity to shape how the historic environment responds to changing contexts, as we plan for tomorrow.’

Summary:

Jessica is vice-chair of the RICS Building Conservation Advisory Group, which provides expert advice to RICS and its members across all aspects of the historic environment. She is both a fellow of the RICS and a full member of the IHBC.  Jessica has a particular interest in heritage-led regeneration and placemaking: as part of Network Rail’s development team, her day job focuses leveraging the best of the past to create places fit for the future.
