IHBC offers an interim ‘Hi…’ and update from the Stone Show and UKCW

The IHBC’s Angharad Hart, Education and Application Support Officer, has been holding the fort at our stand in the Heritage Hub at London’s UK Construction Week (UKCW), including The Stone Show, helped by IHBC’s Michael Netter – also the STBA’s Director – alongside SPAB, ICON, and host partners, Historic England led by Clara Willet IHBC.

Angharad will follow up with more details next week, but to keep our NewsBlog readers up to speed, she wrote from our stand on Thursday: ‘This year’s UK Construction Week has been a brilliant opportunity to connect with both familiar faces and new ones—from across the UK and beyond.’

‘It’s been heartening to see just how much curiosity and enthusiasm there is for the work of the IHBC, and for the wider heritage sector.’

‘From historic building owners thinking about dipping their toes into the world of conservation, to seasoned professionals and sector partners looking to collaborate, the conversations have been as varied as they’ve been inspiring.’

‘It’s clear that heritage is not just about conserving the past, but about shaping an inclusive, accessible, and vibrant future.
