IHBC features ‘Heritage from the doorstep’: Old Sarum Airfield director ‘devastated’ over Hangar 3 fire

Old Sarum Airfield director Grenville Hodge says his company is ‘devastated’ after a fire tore through a historic aircraft hangar, reports the Salisbury Journal.

Salisbury Journal writes:

Firefighters are tackling a blaze at the Grade II*-listed Hangar 3, which was built in 1917 but has fallen into disrepair…

‘This is not just a loss to the local community, but to the nation’

A spokesperson from Save Old Sarum has said: ‘We are deeply saddened… not just a loss to the local community, but to the nation. An upsetting day in Old Sarum’s rich history.’
