Wales Consultation: A New Approach to Volunteering in Wales: Closing 30/05

The Welsh Government has issued a consultation survey seeking views from charities on volunteering, to 30 May.

The Welsh Government writes:

Volunteering is a crucial part of Welsh society, enhancing the wellbeing of our people, places and communities. Since the pandemic, lifestyles and ways of volunteering are changing, and the volunteering landscape is adapting. Welsh Government and key volunteering stakeholders are co-creating a new approach to volunteering in Wales, with a progressive vision to drive it. The Vision is to put volunteering at the heart of Welsh life, to make it stronger and sustainable, and for all its benefits to be realised. A Vision statement has been developed, along with a delivery framework. An implementation plan will follow later in the summer of 2025.

This short survey gives you an opportunity to share your views on the Vision. We want to test the level of support for the Vision and help improve and refine it. The survey is for any individuals and organisations who work with volunteers, or anyone who has an interest in supporting and developing the approach to volunteering in Wales. Your response will be treated in complete confidence and will not be seen by anyone outside of our research team. No individual respondents can be identified.

If you have any questions about the consultation or need assistance to complete the survey please contact Sandra Harris:  sandraharris@ukrcs.uk (opens in new window).

Thank you for your participation in this important work which will play a key role in shaping the development of Welsh Government policy.

The survey should take around ten minutes to complete. The closing date is 30/05/25
