The Heritage Alliance (THA) AGM 2025 reflected on the past year, inducted new Trustees and said goodbye to those stepping down, and celebrated the work of our members.
THA writes:
Welcome to our new trustees, Deepika Kanthavara Madhava, Sophia Price and Katy Baldwin, who join our Board this year. We look forward to learning from their expertise in architecture/community heritage, landscape management, and local government/strategic finance, respectively.
Today, we say goodbye to two Trustees as they complete their terms: Peter Aiers, Master of The Charterhouse, and Jan Wills, Chair of Oxford Archaeology. They have served as Trustees for 6 and 7 years respectively and we are enormously grateful for their hard work and commitment. Our Chair Carole Souter thanks our outgoing Acting Chair, Dr Ingrid Samuel: ‘As Deputy Chair, she has twice stepped in to lead the organisation at a time of great sadness and difficulty and has done so with skill, determination and great sensitivity.’
We’re also pleased to announce the re-election of Roy Clare for an additional 1 year term. Roy has served as a Trustee for two terms with the Alliance and is an invaluable member of our Board with extensive expertise in maritime heritage and inclusive museum practices. Lastly, we have re-elected Alice Purkiss for a second term of 3 years. Alice is an experienced and dedicated trustee who contributes a great deal as a super-connector between the worlds of academic research and practice.
