Aimée Felton writes:

The Charterhouse stands as a testament to the power of heritage estate management—where history meets the present to create a thriving, sustainable future. It is known that a flourishing cultural sector not only enriches our shared past but actively supports well-being in older age, fostering community and continuity is intrinsic to the charitable mission of the Charterhouse.

By thinking creatively about capital projects, we can unlock new ways to preserve and adapt historic spaces, while recognising that market dynamics play a crucial role in sustaining essential maintenance. Balancing ambition with pragmatism is key to ensuring our built heritage serves both today’s needs and those of generations to come

The IHBC’s Presidential Team writes to all IHBC members:

You are invited to join IHBC’s next free online Council CPD, exclusive to all IHBC members, on 24 March from 1.15pm, broadcast from London’s Charterhouse.  To join or register apologies, please see the guidance below.

The programme for our first ever blended Council features a CPD case-study exploration of heritage estate planning and management by Aimée Felton, Director of Estates and Conservation at the Charterhouse and 2012 IHBC Gus Astley Student Award winner.
