Official plans have been submitted to demolish former Hillhead Baptist Church building, a historic Glasgow church, and build flats in its place, reports The Glasgow Times.
The Glasgow Times writes:
The former Hillhead Baptist Church building could be pulled to the ground and replaced by 32 homes if planning permission is granted. A bid to repurpose the structure has been ongoing for several years… In March this year, however, the applicant announced that despite this early plan, the demolition of the entire building is ‘unavoidable’ due to the quick deterioration of the structure.
The roof of the main building has already been removed to prevent its collapse….
