IHBC’s CPD Circular for September once again offers the Institute’s regular serving of accessible and cost-effective Continuing Professional Development (CPD) opportunities for historic and built environment conservation professionals and their networks, including a wide range of local IHBC Branch events and linked awards.

The IHBC writes:
As we look towards the Autumn, we are pleased to share a number of upcoming IHBC events taking place over the coming months, including a visit to Touchstone Glazing Studio hosted by the Yorkshire Branch, an opportunity to discover more about stained glass conservation and the MEND project at Wightwick Manor with the West Midlands Branch, a sustainable retrofit training day with the North Branch in Durham and the Wales Branch Conference and AGM in Gregynog Hall in Newtown. The RTPI South West & IHBC South West Branch will also be holding the Heritage in Practice Hybrid Seminar on 26 September.
Looking to October, the London Branch Day Conference, ‘A Walk on the Wild Side: Balancing the Built and Natural Environments’, will take place on 1 October, and the Yorkshire Branch AGM will be held in Wakefield on the 12 October.
We are also delighted to announce that submissions are still open for the SAHGB – IHBC Heritage Research Award, which closes on the 1 September, and the IHBC Gus Astley Student Award, which closes to submissions on 30 September.
And lastly, the SPAB/STBA conference on ‘New Ideas for Old Buildings’ will take place in York on 5 November. Anyone wishing to submit a proposal for the event can find more information here. Submissions close 2 September.
