The Society for the Preservation of Ancient Buildings (SPAB) has announced the 2024 Sustainable Heritage Award, sponsored by Keymer Handmade Tiles, which ‘celebrates sensitive, sympathetic and sustainable upgrades and repairs to traditional buildings’, closing 31/07.
SPAB writes:
The Sustainable Heritage Award, sponsored by Keymer Handmade Tiles, celebrates sensitive, sympathetic and sustainable upgrades and repairs to traditional buildings. We’re all about repairing and upgrading existing buildings and bringing neglected historic buildings back into use. After all, what could be more sustainable than reusing and recycling the buildings we already have? Get inspired by our previous shortlist and winners. Many thanks to Keymer Handmade Tiles for sponsoring this Award. Interested in sponsoring one of our other Awards? Please email development@spab.org.uk.

- Use of local, sustainable materials that are suitable to the historic building
- Buildings must be in the UK or Republic of Ireland (including Channel Islands and Isle of Man)
- Projects must have taken place in 2022 or 2023
