DLUHC call for participation in Authority-Wide Design Codes Survey: closing 31/10

England’s Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC) is inviting local authorities to take part in a short survey (closing 31/10) relating to the requirement proposed in the Levelling Up and Regeneration Bill for local authorities to prepare an authority wide design code.

DLUHC writes:

Please complete the survey here: https://forms.office.com/e/tS8ShFuYeX

The survey will help us to understand local authorities’ familiarity with the proposals, the stage local authorities are at in preparing authority wide design codes, and the challenges faced in preparing design codes at this scale.

It will also explore what further support to local authorities may be needed to produce authority wide codes and help inform updates to Part 1 of the National Model Design Code so it can better assist with the preparation of design codes.

The survey should take 5-10 minutes to complete and it will close on 31 October. Please email DesignQuality@levellingup.gov.uk if you have any questions relating to this research.
