Prince’s Foundation for the Built Environment rebranded

The former Prince’s Foundation for the Built Environment has undergone a rebrand to become the Prince’s Foundation for Building Community.

The Foundation aims to promote sustainable development placing community engagement at its heart. Over the last year its projects have included guiding communities across the country through the planning system, and implementing a ‘Building Skill in Craft’ programme which continues to teach apprentices heritage craft skills.

One of the Foundation’s ambassadors, presenter of ‘Location, Location, Location’ Kirstie Allsopp, accompanied Prince Charles on a visit last week, at which she warned that the draft National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) needs to be ‘tweaked’ to ensure local people have a say about the buildings on their doorstep.
