HS & partners host heritage crime exploratory meeting

The Treasure Trove Unit and Historic Scotland (HS), with the support of National Museums Scotland and English Heritage, are holding an afternoon meeting, on Friday 9 March 2012, 1330-1700, to explore the theme of crimes against heritage in Scotland.

Historic Scotland writes:

We invite colleagues from across the heritage sector to join us, to hear a presentation on recent work in England and an update on some of Historic Scotland’s work. There will be an opportunity to discuss the scale of the issue in Scotland and to explore priorities for action.

The meeting is open to all (the venue has capacity for around 200), but we are asking those who wish to attend to e-mail us, so we can provide adequate teas/coffees.

Please draw this event to the attention of relevant colleagues: we would particularly welcome those who work in non-heritage fields with whom we might be able to pursue mutually supportive action, such as community safety and well-being.

Please e-mail kaami.islam@scotland.gsi.gov.uk if you plan to come, so we can ensure adequate refreshments are available.
