PMT: IHBC’s newest recognised practice

Purcell Miller Tritton (PMT), one of the UK’s leading architectural practices with a conservation specialism, has been recognised under the IHBC’s conservation service listing at  www.ihbc.org.uk/hespr

PMT has just been accepted on to the IHBC’s own listing of specialist conservation services, HESPR, the ‘Historic Environment Service Providers Recognition’ scheme.  Recognition under HESPR is a cost-effective, low-management process specially tailored to businesses that seek endorsement from, and access to, the IHBC’s network of private and public sector conservation interests.

Michael Morrison, partner at PMT and the professional link to the IHBC under the HESPR scheme, said: ‘Purcell Miller Tritton is delighted to be on the HESPR list. We see it as a very useful and appropriate tool for anyone looking to employ a professional working within the heritage environment.  Having an entry in the list seems to us to be essential for any serious professionals working in this field.’

‘As consultants who are working within the historic built environment we see HESPR as an excellent “go to guide” for anyone seeking appropriate conservation advice.’

Fiona Newton, IHBC Projects Officer and manager of the HESPR scheme, said: ‘HESPR is not only a register underpinned by the IHBC’s conservation standards, but a source of consultants backed by the quality assurance of full professional membership of the UK’s specialist built and historic environment conservation body.’

‘We are delighted that Purcell Miller Tritton has seen how a HESPR listing can help give a real edge to any business serious about its conservation credentials in the tight markets we see today’.

Notes:

1. The IHBC’s Historic Environment Service Providers Recognition scheme, HESPR, is a recognition and promotional service for companies operating in any area of built and historic environment conservation. Those companies using the service adopt IHBC membership as a standard for quality control.

2. Practices recognised under the IHBC’s HESPR agree to observe the Institute’s standards through maintaining a corporate link to the IHBC in the person of their Designated Service Adviser (DSA), a nominated Full Member of the IHBC, agreed by the IHBC.  That Full Member has personal professional responsibility for the standard of service in the practice or across a defined or discrete part of it that relates to conservation. This role may be identified in their job description.

3. Michael Morrison is the Designated Service Adviser for Purcell Miller Tritton under the HESPR Scheme.
