CYT: Young achievers awards scheme open

A brand new awards scheme, organised by Construction Youth Trust (CYT) with the support of its Patron, HRH The Duke of Gloucester, aims to identify and celebrate the success of exceptional young professionals through awards to be presented at a dinner at the historic Banqueting House, Whitehall on 24th November 2011.

The aim of the awards is to promote the professions to young people of all social backgrounds and, as a result, increase the number and diversity of entrants into the sector.

There are four award categories;

  • Architectural Design
  • Surveying
  • Engineering
  • Construction and Project Management

Winners of each of the four main categories will have the chance to be mentored by a senior industry figure. There will also be an additional prize for the overall winner, chosen from the winner of the four categories.

Each of the categories is open to anyone under the age of 30 (as of 24 November 2011) who is working in the construction industry. Entrants can either have a degree or have other relevant experience or qualifications. They should also have the support of their employer.

Entries are now being accepted and must be submitted to Construction Youth Trust by 8th September 2011. In order to apply please download and complete the application form from the website or contact Lucy Bond at lucy@bondeventmanagement.co.ukor on 07958 755921.  To book places at the awards dinner please contact Lucy Bond at lucy@bondeventmanagement.co.uk or 07958 755921.
