Heritage partners to deliver HODs for EH

Civic Voice, the National Trust and The Heritage Alliance will be responsible for the national co-ordination of Heritage Open Days (HODs) and securing its future, as English Heritage will provide funding till 2015 and remains responsible for Heritage Open Days in 2011.

Civic Voice says:

Civic Voice’s main role will be to develop and deliver a strong, independent and sustainable future for Heritage Open Days after English Heritage’s support comes to an end. The National Trust will employ the three person Heritage Open Days team and The Heritage Alliance will provide their direct management. Civic Voice’s responsibility will begin in October 2011.

We know how important Heritage Open Days is to civic societies and are delighted to be a part of its future. If you have any questions or suggestions on how to strengthen Heritage Open Days in future then please let us know at info@civicvoice.org.uk

Heritage Alliance says

This partnership approach by voluntary heritage bodies offers a unique combination of skills, resources and experience, and we are looking forward to working with HODs stakeholders up and down the country to develop a long-term vision and strategy for the sustainable future of the event.
