IHBC Vice Chair and South East Branch Secretary/Treasurer writes:
We are holding our annual branch day school and AGM event on Friday 13 March 2020 at The Royal Temple Yacht Club, 6 West Cliff Mansions, Ramsgate, Kent CT11 9HY.
The day will focus on the Ramsgate Heritage Action Zone and also local projects. The theme for the day is linked to the main IHBC Annual School ‘Old Towns : New Futures’, that the branch is hosting in Brighton in June and which is focusing on Town Centre issues. It is also an excellent networking opportunity for Branch members.
… The AGM will include the election of officers and members of the Branch Committee. This is an excellent way of becoming involved in arranging Branch activities, including CPD events and can be a stepping stone to becoming more involved in the Institute as a whole. A number of officers in post have been there for some time and we would welcome new members to join us on the Committee. If you are interested in joining us please get in touch and I can provide information on the officer posts and what they involve. There will also be an opportunity to discuss the emerging new governance arrangements for the Institute.
I would also like to take this opportunity to remind you to keep IHBC informed of any changes to your contact details, particularly if you change jobs. You can update your details online here or you can email Member Services at membership@ihbc.org.uk.
We hope you will be able to join us at the Day School. The Agenda and papers for the AGM will be circulated nearer the date.
