Sarah Johnson appointed to oversee palace of Westminster restoration

Sarah Johnson has been appointed as the chief executive of the shadow sponsor body organisation that will oversee the restoration and renewal of the Palace of Westminster.

Johnson has spent much of her career working in senior roles in large infrastructure projects, including Crossrail and HS2. The Palace of Westminster restoration and renewal programme has been established to tackle the significant work that needs to be done to protect the heritage of the Palace of Westminster to ensure that it can continue to serve as home to the UK Parliament in the 21st century and beyond…

… Johnson said: ‘Working on the restoration and renewal programme is a huge honour for me, as it offers the opportunity to help protect one of the most iconic and best-known buildings in the world.
