The first IHBC ‘Spotlight’ in the 2019 Nottingham school was a video session exploring the diverse applications of the IHBC’s ToolBox resource, the essential but accessible interface to the contents of IHBC’s c.30,000+ web pages, introduced in 5 minutes by IHBC Policy Committee Chair Roy Lewis.
IHBC Director Seán O’Reilly said: ‘There is no better way to understand just how much IHBC membership can offer practitioners of all disciplines and skills levels than to spend 5 minutes listening to Roy reviewing the IHBC’s ToolBox.’
‘And there is no simpler way to review your skills than by following up on the presentation and exploring the service in detail. It’s about the best CPD you can do, and it’s all free too!’
‘And remember too that the IHBC also launched two new and timely Guidance Notes, at the School, on Retrofitting of Traditional Buildings and Climate Change and Older Buildings – Key Sources, another of the three ‘IHBC Spotlight’ sessions at the 2019 Annual School in Nottingham.’
‘We’ll have more launched next year at our 2020 Brighton School, which explores the theme of ‘Old Towns : New Futures’.’
