The Civic Voice, the national charity for the civic movement in England, is polling the public on which policy is most important for inclusion in the new planning framework currently under production by the government.
The poll, carried on the home page of the website of the Civic Voice, states: ‘The Government is combining planning policy into a single document. Which existing policy do you most want to save’, and offers a choice that includes, among others,
- Presumption in favour of conserving designated heritage assets
- Promote local distinctiveness
- Plan positively for high quality design
