A new set of Government Guidance notes which covers everything you need to know about managing change in the historic environment has just been launched.
The fourteen guidance notes will replace the Memorandum of Guidance on Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas, which was published in 1998 and was the main source of such information up until now. The new notes will be available online, both as PDFs and printer friendly versions and will be topic based, as well being as more concise than the previous guidance.
Topics will include issues dealt with in the old Memorandum, including Windows, Extensions and Demolition, but will also focus on two entirely new topics, Setting and Microrenewables.
