The interim version of the National Heritage Protection Plan is now available at www.english-heritage.org.uk/nhpp.
The Plan is the national framework for bringing together work by English Heritage and other partners within the sector to protect the historic environment. It will allow EH to re-align and apply the full range of its expertise and resources towards protection activities carried out directly by English Heritage or towards supporting others in their protection of what is valued and significant. EH believes that the Plan will encourage a new culture of partnership working in the historic environment.
Over the winter, EH will work with partners in the sector to finalise the Plan prior to its publication in April 2011.
EH welcomes views and suggestions. If you wish to contribute to the consultation, please read the Plan and complete the questionnaire which will help EH refine the final version.
