Historic England (HE) maintains a searchable online database of appeal and call-in decisions relating to planning permissions affecting heritage assets and listed building consent with cases summarised using a standard list of search terms, for ease of use so searches can also be carried out by address, date or decision reference.

One can search for appeal and call-in decisions relating to planning permission (that affects a heritage asset) and listed building consent. Cases have been summarised using a standard list of search terms, for ease of use; searches can also be carried out by address, date or decision reference. Keyword searching may be more successful if you use words or phrases from the National Planning Policy Framework. We have compiled a standard list of search terms we have used to summarise each case. You can also search by address, date or decision reference. Summaries of consistory court cases can be found in the Ecclesiastical Law Journal.
