IHBC Projects Officer Fiona Newton, with Branch volunteer support, have been personally inspecting and welcoming some of the ‘20 Intriguing Places Listed in 2017’ highlighted by Historic England (HE) in its new publication of the same name.

The Esplanade & Tower Gardens, Skegness, are among those added to the Parks & Gardens Register (https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1443891) and featured also in Historic England’s new publication.
The picture documents East Midlands Branch Secretary Emilie Wales and myself looking at the rockwork – and reading the potential register entry – in advance of selection in the top 20.
